2008 Shelby Mustang GT500KR Pictures

To brighten things up on our Mustang blog how about some pictures of the 2008 Shelby GT500KR. This Mustang was made to celebrate the fortieth anniversary of the original Shelby Cobra GT500KR. The GT500KR is sporting a 5.4 liter supercharged V8 making 540 horsepower. I would be proud to have this baby in my garage!

No Twin Turbo 5.0L for the Shelby GT500

Rumors were flying around that the Shelby GT500 could get a twin turbo 5.0L engine. But, that rumor was soon shot down by Ford’s chief engineer Mike Harrison. Mike was talking with a member of the Autoblog’s staff, Mike Harrison also stated it would be impossible to fit a twin-turbo engine under the hood of a S197 Mustang. I’m not sure if I believe that statement because we’ve seen this done by aftermarket companies. But come on Mustang fans, how much horsepower do you need. The Shelby GT500KR was enough for me, 540 horesepower to the rear wheels.

Fisher-Price Power Wheels Pink Ford Mustang

If you have a little girl this Power Wheels pink Ford Mustang could make a great birthday gift for her. This pink Mustang comes with a big cowl hood, custom chrome wheels and an interior just like a real Ford Mustang. The pink Mustang fits two and has actual LEDs that light up and blink. The Ford Mustang GT drives forward in two speeds (2.5 mph and 5 mph) forward, and it travels at 2.5 mph in reverse. The pink Mustang retails for around $400.

Take a Ride in a 2011 Ford Mustang GT

Take a ride in a brand new 2011 Ford Mustang GT, well a virtual ride anyways. In this Mustang video from YouTube Ford gives a sneak peak of the 2011 Mustang exterior and interior. Nothing really has changed much on either them, but what has really changed is the engine bay. The 2011 Mustang GT is sporting the new 5.0L coyote engine, it will be making 412 horsepower and 390 foot pounds of torque. Quite a boost from Ford’s past 4.6L engine. It’s very exciting to see the Mustang GT perform in the video, also in this video is a small clip of a dyno test. Man the 5.0L V8 engine sounds sweet!

2008 Dan Gurney Signature Edition Saleen Mustang

I must of missed this custom Mustang, I’ve never seen or heard of this muscle car before. This is the 2008 Dan Gurney Signature Edition Mustang by Saleen motor company. I thought it would be cool to post the interior of the Mustang as the main picture instead of the same old outside of the car. Don’t get me wrong, the outside is sweet, but the interior really caught my eye. The inside of the seats looks like sued, similar to my 2004 Cobra Mustang seats. Except these seats are sporting blue with white stripes, probably the sweetest Mustang interior I have ever seen. Other custom mods include a supercharged 4.6 liter V8 producing 465 horsepower and a Saleen racecraft suspension. It doesn’t stop there though, a custom hood with hood pins along with front and rear spoilers. Only 300 of these limited edition Mustangs will be built, there will be three different colors(100 each): torch red, performance white, and vista blue each receiving American race car driver Dan Gurney’s autograph under the hood.
