Top Influential Car Movies
October 18, 2009 by Justin
Top Influential car movies for auto enthusiasts all over the world. Even though Top Gun isn’t a car movie, everyone has to admit the movie gives you the “Need for Speed!” The movie gives you rush just watching it, then makes you go out to your garage and fire your baby up. The intro to this movie is just amazing! It’s been over 20 years, that’s right 20 years, and still not one director has topped the intro in this movie.
Last but not least, Fast and Furious. All the gear heads and muscle car enthusiasts don’t like to admit it, but Fast and Furious has influenced many of us into the car scene. I always loved Mustangs and muscle cars ever since I visited my first Woodward cruise, but after seeing this movie, I was hooked. I knew I wanted to get my own muscle car and get it to do a wheelie. A lot of tuners say just loved the movie, but like I said up above, muscle car enthusiasts are just too cool to admit it was a decent car movie. Yeah, there’s a little too much rice and foreign cars, but the ending made up for it.
If you know any more movies that have influenced you into the car scene, mention them down below in the comments section.
2010 Mustang Competition Kits
October 18, 2009 by Justin

Because of the 2008 Cobra Jet being a recent success, Ford Racing thought it would be great to offer a racer friendly competition kit for Mustang fans around the world. These industry-first kits greatly reduce the complexity and build time typically associated with a body- in-white build. For little more than the competition is offering the body shell alone, the Mustang Competition Kits include interior, exterior (including glass), and seats. Cobra Jet power-train components are also available through the Ford Racing catalog. This is a perfect setup if you’re planning on building a race car Mustang for next spring.
2010 ROUSH 540RH Mustang
October 18, 2009 by Justin

Want the ultimate sleeper Mustang package? Well look no further than the 540RH Ford Mustang, it’s a big horsepower package put together by Roush Performance. The 2010 Roush 540RH will actually have the same forged internals as the Stage 3 Roush Mustang and making 540 horsepower. The thing that truly is amazing is the price, Roush is setting a price tag of only $46k. That’s not bad for a car that has this much horsepower and performance, it’s about time a someone did this. Props goes out to Jack Roush’s crew! I’m sure many Mustang fans are going to be very happy with this muscle car. The recorded quarter mile time they got out of this car was 11.8 seconds at 121mph, not bad at all! If I had the money, I know what Mustang I would be buying this year.
The only thing that will define this Ford Mustang as a Roush car is the decklid spoiler and short throw shifter, other than that your opponent won’t know the difference. Look out Mopar and GM drivers!
2010 Chevrolet Camaro Production Increase
October 18, 2009 by Justin

Occassionaly I like posting news about other cars on my Mustang blog, see I’m an auto enthusiast who likes all types of cars.
The latest news is that GM will be increasing production on four of their vehicles, one in particular is the 2010 Camaro, the Mustang’s opponent. With the demand of the Camaro being so high, GM thought it would make sense to capitalize on the situation. This is great news for factory workers in Ontario, the third shift is to be added real soon.
Lee Iacocca Mustang
October 18, 2009 by Justin

If you love sleekness and style, well look no futher than the Lee Iacocca Mustang. This thing is so sweet and sleek. I truly have never seen a Mustang with these kind of features. If you check out the thing in motion, it looks like a silver bullet. It kind of reminds me of the space craft from the movie “Flight of Navigator.” But does this sports car have respectable handing, power and control? Many auto enthusiasts that have driven it will tell you it does. Over on Auto Blog they have given it a decent rating, saying it has “plenty of power, the brakes are strong, the ride is decent and the handling is respectable, thanks in part to the standard Ford Racing Handling Pack that includes upgraded shocks and springs.” But for the price you pay, it is questionable. The first 45 is said to have a price tag around $60k. Maybe the price will go down after the first group of Iacocca Mustangs are sold.
Ford Mustang to win Championship Titles
October 18, 2009 by Justin

It’s said that the Ford Mustang muscle car was born to race, well it has been doing just that for 2009. The 2009 race season is proving to be an awesome year for the Ford Mustang. The Mustang has already won two series championships and is positioned to possibly win a bunch of other titles. Here’s some other races to look forward to: NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Funny Car Series, SCCA Speed World Challenge GT Series, and Formula Drift Professional Drifting Championship Series.
Road Runner Mustang
October 18, 2009 by Justin

The rumors flying around the web is that the 2012 Shelby GT500 will be getting a twin turbocharged 5.0L engine. Ford might be code naming it the “Road Runner” Mustang. If you’re familiar with previous Mustang news, you might remember the rumor that the 5.0 liter engine will be code named the Coyote. So this all sounds right doesn’t it? Coyote, Road Runner, everybody knows the Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner cartoons. If Ford is going this way with their Mustangs, they get two thumbs up from me!
2010 FR500CJ Mustang doing a Wheelie
October 18, 2009 by Justin
Ford Racing engineers have been fulling around with the FR500CJ Mustang to make it meaner. Back in 2008 the Cobra Jet Mustang had around 425 horsepower, but after seeing this video from Norwalk strip in Ohio, this Mustang has gotten a big upgrade. In the video the Mustang does a huge as wheelie, you definitely have to check it out. I guess we’ll find out what kind of mods the FR500CJ has at the SEMA show in November.
Carroll Shelby made Mustang with 1,000 Horsepower
October 18, 2009 by Justin

Yet again, Carroll Shelby has a new limited edition Mustang coming out, this time it’s packing a big punch. How does a twin turbocharged engine with 1,000 horsepower sound to you? It seems like all these companies are trying to outdue themselves every year, but I’ve never heard of a 1,000 horsepower Mustang, that’s truly amazing. Can’t wait to see it!
Sneak Peek at the 2010 Steeda Q Mustang
October 18, 2009 by Justin

It truly seems like Steeda is dragging their feet with the new Q Series Mustangs. But I’m pretty confident that Steeda is taking their time with designing their Mustangs. I mean no other car has won more races than Steeda performance enhanced Mustangs.
