1999 Saleen Mustang from 2 Fast 2 Furious
December 12, 2009 by Justin
Just up on Ebay not too long ago was the 1999 Saleen from the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious. I’m not sure if this is the Mustang that got trampled on by the Semi, it kind of looks like it. It’s a pretty much a pile of junk so I’m not sure who would really want it. It might be a treasure to someone since it will go down in history as a movie prop from Fast and the Furious. Originally the 1999 Saleen Mustang had yellow paint, when the Mustang was commissioned for the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious Saleen it was then painted Lipstick red and engine and trans removed. I’m guessing they ripped out the engine and trans because the car was going to be demolished. What’s left in the car is a roll cage, mounting hardware and various other parts from the filming of the movie. Last time I checked the auction it was only up to a measly $710. I wonder who the not so lucky winner was?

Shelby Mustang Book
December 12, 2009 by Justin
Colin Comer has just come out with a book that covers the whole history of Shelby Automobiles. Colin Comer not only goes into deep detail about all the Mustangs Shelby has manufactured, but many other cars as well. Just a background check on Colin Comer, he’s an award winning author with Motorbooks, so you know this book will be good. If you’re interested in buying this book, you can get it for only $30 on Amazon.
P.S. This book would make the perfect Christmas gift for a Mustang enthusiast.

Steeda 2010 Mustang Front Splitter
December 12, 2009 by Justin
Steeda Autosports has just come out with a composite front splitter for the 2010 Mustang GT. The splitter basically just redirects airflow outward across the lower front bumper instead of allowing it to flow underneath the car which would create downforce thus eliminating high speed front end lift. This is the perfect modification for any real Mustang racer, remember guys ever little bit helps on the track. The front splitter retails for $389.95 at the Steeda store. It’s an easy installation if you’re worried about that element, requires only basic hand tools.

2000 Ford SVT Mustang Cobra R
December 12, 2009 by Justin
When Ford’s Special Vehicle Team(SVT) put this Mustang together they meant business. The muscle car was built with the track in mind, featuring a huge spoiler to keep the front end down while racing. Underneath the hood is a naturally aspirated 5.4L 32-valve V8 engine that made 385 horsepower and 385 foot pounds of torque to the rear wheels. SVT was so serious that they tore out the radio, air conditioning unit, and the back seat to save weight. There were only 300 of these Cobra Rs made, which makes the Mustang very special. Other cool features the 2000 SVT Cobra R is known for is the power dome hood with unique gills on top of the hood, dual side exhausts, Brembo brakes, and custom satin 5 spoke wheels. The Mustang was a hit with Mustang fans around the world. Even though a decade has past, the 2000 Cobra R has gone down in history as one of the most powerful and cool Mustangs Ford has ever built.
2010 Saleen S281 Mustang Hood
December 11, 2009 by Justin
By now after reading a few articles you’ve probably realized that I’m a big fan of hood scoops. When I first set my eyes on the new 2010 Saleen S281 Mustang hood I was astonished, it just looks sick. The designers over at Saleen Performance really outdid themselves. The lines and curves on the new Mustang hood is just so slick, it’s probably the best Mustang hood I have ever seen. Sick and slick, that’s what I’ve nicknamed this new Saleen hood!

Saleen Performance Square Tipped Exhaust
December 11, 2009 by Justin
Over the past decade Saleen’s exhaust has been quite a hit for Mustang fans. I posted a picture to show you the history of the Saleen exhaust and how it evolved into what it is today. My favorite is the 2005-09 Mustang years, it just looks smooth and the high polished looks goes along great with any color paint. Although, the new 2010 square tipped exhaust is unique and cool in it’s own right. I wonder what some Mustang fans think of it, I’m sure many like it, I know I do. It has a very smooth look to it, it flows well with the 2010 Saleen S281’s rear. I went over to Saleen Performance speedlabs parts department to see if you can buy it, currently they don’t have it listed, kind of a bummer. They only have the 02-03 Exhaust and the 05-06 exhaust listed. Maybe in a few months they’ll have it up for sale, I’m sure a lot of Mustang enthusiasts are looking forward to buying it.
Roush Mustang popping a Wheelie!
December 11, 2009 by Justin
There’s nothing like seeing a Mustang popping a wheelie, just check out this Roush Mustang dragster popping a wheelie. Roush really makes good products, one of my favorite Mustangs they have ever created is the 2010 Roush Mustang 427R. Every muscle car they make is just packed with extraordinary power!

2010 Cobra Jet Mustang Peeling Out
December 11, 2009 by Justin
After taking a second look at the 2010 Cobra Jet Mustang, I have to say I’m in love. I got to witness a peel out of the real thing the other week, I was driving home from work and the owner of a new Cobra Jet Mustang decided to light it up. I wish I had my 2004 SVT Cobra Mustang with me, it would of been cool to see both the Mustangs together. The cobra decal on the side just looks so cool, Ford Racing really put together a winner!

2011 Four Door Ford Mustang Concept
December 10, 2009 by Justin
I know most of the Mustang fans hate the idea of a four door Mustang, but I think there’s a few Mustang Dads out there that would be interested in the car. The concept up above is known as “The Interceptor, trying to read who the artist was but I couldn’t make it out. It’s not a bad drawing, I just think it needs a bit more detail. I would really like to see it from the side also. If Ford comes out with this sedan it would great to see the 5.0L Coyote Mustang engine in it!
