These are my favorite pictures of the 1967 Shelby GT500, better known as Eleanor from the movie Gone in 60 Seconds. This is one of my dream cars, the looks of the custom Mustang are so unique and amazing, there’s nothing like it. A lot of companies are doing there own copies of Eleanor, such as Ronaele and even Shelby. Yeah the new Mustangs look good with the Eleanor body kit, but nothing beats the original 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang. The metal trim and and chrome that is on the 1967 GT500 is just more appealing to me. Nowadays everything is either plastic of fiber glass, it’s kind of tacky. It was great when everything was all metal and chrome. I just want to say that nothing beats the original 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang.
Mustang Ad: Strike a Blow for Originality

Ocassionaly I like posting old media stuff of the Ford Mustang from the 60s, 70s and 80s. It’s just plain cool, because you get to compare it to today’s media of the new Mustang. This one for instance is an ad of a boxing glove saying “Strike a blow for originality.” It’s kind of dull and all, but it’s still kind of cool. It kind of reminds me of the movie Rocky with Sylvester Stallone. It kind of symbolizes that the Mustang is rough and tough.

2010 Shelby GT500 Races 2010 Hennessey HPE550 Camaro

In this video you’ll see two muscle cars go at it, a 2010 Shelby GT500 races a 2010 Hennessey HPE500 Camaro. While I don’t think this is fair since the GT500 Mustang is a stock car and the 2010 Camaro has been modified by Hennessey, I still think it will be invaluably interesting. The Hennessey Camaro out dukes the Mustang by .3 seconds, that’s only in the 0-60mph race. Edmuds didn’t do a 1/4 mile test, but I’m pretty sure the Camaro would win. Overall I would still take the Shelby GT500 Mustang over the Hennessey Camaro.

The next wave of customizing is actually coming from Ford themselves. Ford has just went full stream with a brand new website that allows you to customize your Mustang before your order it. This includes custom scratch resistant graphics from all typs of different designs and colors. The Vinyl graphics are not only scratch-resistant, but they are weatherproof and include a 3 year/36,000 mile warranty. I bet a lot of Mustang fans are excited about this new feature Ford is providing us. I think Ford is really trying their best to improve the sales during these hard times, I think this is a really good idea.

Greg Biffle Ford Mustang GT500 at zMAX DRAGWAY

I was working out on my Treadmill today and came across Pinks All Out on the Speed Channel. They were at the 4 lane zMax Dragway in North Carolina. It was quite a treat, I got to see Greg Biffle’s Ford Mustang GT500 do a run on the new track. There was a lot of other muscle car action on the track too, got to see a Fox Body Mustang do one hell of a wheelie. I have to say I’m jealous of the N.C. natives, they have such a wonderful drag strip to go to. Over here in Detroit we have nothing, the closest dragstrip is in Milan, and that’s too long of a drive for me. The zMax Dragway is incredible, they have a camera that is capable of going 100mph down the track while recording you. You’re able to get video footage of your Mustang you wouldn’t be able to get on other drag strips. It was definitely cool to see zMax Dragway on Pinks.

Many Mustang fans and gear heads have been waiting for this muscle car comparison, a 2010 Mustang vs. 2010 Camaro SS vs. a 2009 Challenger. Editor Arthur St. Antoine of Motor Trend conducts the challenge, he goes into his likes and dislikes about each muscle car. To see what muscle car comes out on top, makes sure you watch the whole video. I’m hoping for the 2010 Ford Mustang.
SN-95 Ford Mustang Crash

This is one ghetto ass drag strip, looks like the Mustang was going over bumps when he was driving down the drag strip from the get go. At the end it looks like the driver makes too sharp of a turn and then hits a bump, just enough to tip over the Mustang. This horrible constructed drag strip is somewhere in the Caribbean, I hope they fixed the strip by now.

Now this is a cool sketch of the SMS 460 Mustang from Steve Saleen’s new car company. The sketch really shows off the SMS wheels and front end, I just love it. Under the hood of the SMS 460 Mustang is a 4.6 liter V8 engine, it will be making 470 horsepower and 427 foot pounds of torque. I hope to see one out on the road this upcoming summer!

After checking out the third picture, this was bound to happen. But it makes me wonder, did this driver actually mean to do this? I absolutely think so. The driver was a 16 year old boy who was driving his father’s SN-95 Ford Mustang, the story goes the boy was out late one night with the Mustang and supposedly lost control. Um yeah lost control, he jumps a 30 foot pool and slams into a house. Sounds like this idiot meant to do this, the boy didn’t even have his license. He must of just got done watching Fast and the Furious or something. Man if I was this boy’s father I would be furious. The people who lived at the house were home but nobody was injured, they must of been so scared when the Mustang crashed into the house. The boy must of been doing well over 100mph, I’m still mind boggled.
