Here we go Shelby Mustang fans, this is the cobra emblem that will be on the new 2011 Shelby GT350. Make sure you save this picture onto your computer, it sure is cool! I can’t wait until Shelby gets some hats and shirts out with the GT350 cobra emblem.
Halogen Headlights for your Classic Ford Mustang

I heard that the latest rant is to replace your stock Mustang bulbs on your classic Mustang to new halogen bulbs. But, I hear you have to special harnesses for them. I guess it’s too to the power they need to shine. The great thing about halogens is they don’t flicker and they are definitely brighter than stock headlights. They also look really cool at night if you get the ones with a blue tint. This is something you might want to look into if you have an older Ford Mustang.
2011 Shelby GT350 Mustang

Awesome news has just surface, Shelby has brought back the GT350 Mustang. One word “WoW!” I love the Mustang, everything about it screams muscle car. The unveiling of the GT350 Mustang was at the 39th Annual Barrett-Jackson show. Lets first start with the powertrain, the GT350 will be putting out an estimated 500 horsepower, to do this Shelby used a Ford Racing supercharged on top of the 5.0 liter V8 motor. Traditionally the car will come with the color white mated with Shelby Guardsman blue Le Mans stripes. The body kit on it is just amazing, I love the tight twin pipes coming out the back. The custom hood scoop is smooth, I like the louvers on side window, the front bumper is muscular looking, and the wheels pretty neat. And it looks like Shelby got the interior right too, everything from custom embroidered seats to cool gauges on the column. It’s truly a one of a kind muscle car! But I can’t imagine this custom Mustang coming at a cheap price knowing Shelby.
Down below are some really cool pictures of the Mustang. There’s one picture of Carroll Shelby himself standing next to the GT350 Mustang. And then there’s another picture of the old GT350 next to the new GT350. These pictures are just great!
2010 ROUSH 427R Mustang Video

In this YouTube video we get to see the testing of a 2010 Roush 427R Mustang. The Mustang is just packed with performance and style! I just love the sound of the catback exhaust, it sounds really mean. When they take it for a spin they show you the cool supercharger boost gauge. The Mustang seems to shift very smoothly, this Mustang will definitely give you a run for your money. I’m amazed to hear how loud the Roush exhaust is, I’m wondering if this is actually the Roush stock exhaust?
Watching Top Gun Right Now

Man if you’re looking for a movie to get you pumped out before a race, watch Top Gun. It’s truly a big adrenaline rush movie, probably the best action movie to date. The intro of all Tony Scott’s films are great, but this one is just superb. Little Kenny Loggins and some afterburner flames and you have one bad ass flick. It has one of the best soundtracks around. Yeah it doesn’t have any Mustang cars in it, but it’s still worth watching if you haven’t seen it. Most likely you have and you’re probably saying to yourself, “why are you posting this old 80s flick on a mustang blog,” well it’s 0 degrees right now and there’s nothing but snow on the ground. I have nothing else to do but watch it, so stop hating, lol! It’s currently on the Oxygen channel, go figure, isn’t this a chick channel?

Adjusting to the Mustang’s new Rear Lights

I have to say I’m still not sure if I like the new rear lights on the 2010-11 Mustang. The sequential rear lights look really neat yeah, but I’m still kind of lean towards the 2005-09 Mustang rear lights. They look a little smoother and cleaner looking. I guess in time I will adjust to the rear lights. Do you Mustang guys and gals like them?
$30k Price Tag on the 2011 Ford Mustang GT

The pricing for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT has just been released. The base model will get a price tag of $30,495, while the premium model will sell for $33,695. That’s a few grand increase from last years model, it must be because of the horsepower increase with the new 5.0L engine. I guess it only makes sense, I just wish they would of kept the same prices as last year. So what you Mustang guys and gals think? Do you think Mustang fans will be racing to the nearest dealership to get the first dibs on the muscle car? Or do you think it will have a slow start? Personally I’m in the middle, I think a few people will be rushing out to get their hands on them. But not a whole lot since we’re still in a recession. I just can’t wait to see one out on the road, I want to hear the growl!

Great news for ROUSH Performance, their custom Mustang the ROUSH 427R made this year’s Auto Trader Classics calendar. It’s starring as Miss February with a nice red shiny paint job. I wish I had a bigger picture of what the picture looks like, but at least you get an idea. The Roush 427R Mustang is sitting right near a puddle that shows the reflection of the 427R. Mustang pictures like this are so cool, I congratulate Roush for their Mustang making the issue. This would be a great calendar to get for 2010!

You might remember a post I made back in December about voting for the official Roush club name. Well sorry to say the name still hasn’t been revealed yet, but what has come to our attention is the application for being accepted into the club. Roush is officially accepting applications for the Roush Mustang club. To view the application log on to Roush’s performance site from Google. Be aware that the application is designed for new members or existing ROEA members. Eventually an online application will be available, but for now you must fax, mail, or email back the forms.
