Dyno Test of the 2011 Mustang 5.0L V8

This is a dyno test video of the new 2011 Mustang 5.0L V8, this was shot directly from Ford’s tech shop. The goal was to achieve around 400 horsepower, they succeeded well past that point. The new 5.0L V8 will be making 412 horsepower and 390 foot pounds of torque. What is also cool is the fuel economy is projected to be better than the previous model, must be because of their new custom short tube headers they are using. That really helps the exhaust to be more free flowing, but I’m sure it’s more than that, this is one high tech engine. Look for this V8 in the new 2011 Ford Mustang GT.
