1995 Saleen Mustang 351sr

By far one of my favorite Mustangs every made. The 1995 Saleen Mustang 351sr is a real screamer, pumping out 480 horsepower out of a 5.8 liter V8. Steve Saleen wasn’t fulling around when he created this custom Ford Musang. 480hp is a big number even for 2009, back in the 90s this was unheard of for a manufactured Ford Mustang. These numbers were so impressive, it was 80 more horsepower than the Dodge Viper and 75 more horespower than the Corvette ZR1.

So what kind of modifications are on this Ford Mustang? This stang features a Vortech supercharger running around 8psi. Other mods include aluminum cylinder heads, a hydraulic roller camshaft, modified upper and lower intake manifold (sectioned and enlarged for improved high-rpm power), a larger-diameter throttle body and mass airflow sensor, higher-flow fuel injectors, ceramic-coated headers, and a low-restriction 2.5-inch-diameter Borla stainless exhaust system. The car is truly a beast!

The only drawback on this muscle car was its limitation, there were only a few Saleen Mustang 351sr ever made. And getting your hands on one was pretty impossible. Maybe now you’ll be able to pick one up off of Ebay or something. Hell, I would be grateful to see one of these cars in person.
